1975 Martin D-28

History

A workhorse acoustic that spent its early years as a touring instrument before settling into life as a beloved home player. The spruce top has opened up beautifully over 50 years.

Condition

The top shows some pick wear below the soundhole and a couple of well-repaired cracks that don’t affect tone or playability. The rosewood back and sides are in excellent shape. Tuners have been replaced with quality Waverly reproductions. The neck was reset professionally and plays perfectly.

What Makes It Special

There’s a reason the D-28 is called “the standard” for acoustic guitars. This one has the volume and projection that only comes from decades of a spruce top vibrating and resonating. It sounds massive.
