1968 Gibson ES-335
$3,800
availableHistory
This ES-335 came from a jazz player in Chicago who gigged with it through the 1970s and 80s. It was stored carefully in its original case for the last two decades.
Condition
The cherry finish has darkened beautifully over time. The binding shows some age-related yellowing that gives it character. Both humbuckers are original patent number pickups — rich, warm, and incredibly responsive to picking dynamics. The neck is straight with low action. Hardware shows some patina but functions perfectly.
What Makes It Special
The ES-335 is one of the most versatile guitars ever made. This particular example has the kind of woody, open tone that the semi-hollow design is famous for. Equally at home playing jazz, blues, or rock.
